This project is going a lot slower than planned because I keep having to travel for work / going on vacation, and I’m afraid it’s going to be like that for the rest of the year.  So, weekly updates aren’t going to happen, but it’s not abandoned by any means.  Here’s page 16!

On the mission that this is based on, we were dug in outside this small town in rural Iraq for a good . . . I don’t know . . . four to six weeks, building a bridge and road.  Of course, we were the most interesting thing for miles, so in addition to drawing periodic mortar and small arms fire, we drew the attention of all of the pre-teen* kids in town, who would crowd around as if they were in a competition to see who could get run over first.  Later, we handed out a case of Crocs, sent as charity by the Crocs Corporation, as a gesture of goodwill/revenge.
